YouTube Competitor Spy

Monitor your competitors' YouTube channels automatically. Get alerts when they post new videos, track their view counts, and identify trending topics in your niche.

Features

  • Channel Monitoring: Track up to 20 competitor channels
  • New Upload Alerts: Get notified via Telegram within minutes of a new upload
  • View Velocity Tracking: See which videos are gaining traction fastest
  • Topic Clustering: AI identifies recurring themes across competitors
  • Weekly Digest: Automated summary of competitor activity

How It Works

The skill runs every 30 minutes via cron, checking the YouTube Data API for new uploads from your tracked channels. When it finds something noteworthy, it sends a formatted Telegram message with the video title, thumbnail, and early view count.

python
# Example output in Telegram
🎬 New upload from @MrBeast
"I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive"
👀 1.2M views in 2 hours (velocity: 🔥🔥🔥)
📊 This is 3x their average first-day performance

Configuration

Edit config.yaml to add your channels and set alert thresholds.
